In The Zone…
Those that know me very well can attest to the fact that I can get “In The Zone” like few others have the capability. It’s the Hyperfocus-thing..also known as Shop Till You Drop…BUT mine is work-related ;o)
Today was no different.
Giving some attention to those little things that make a huge difference had me explore Trackbacks…in depth. Must say, I got lost very quickly amongst all the info out in the Wicked Wanton Web. Not all bloggers can explain what’s what without a general assumption that you already know what you’re asking. Believe me, if you don’t have a clue, then this paragraph will make no sense. This is what I also found in many places.
You’ve seen “comments” on other blogs that refer back to the commentor’s blog and it looked like a normal comment, right? Well, this is the power of trackbacks – bloggers refer to each others’ sites to share information to help their readers on both sides…ain’t that stunning? Old news for you perhaps, but a technical discovery for me, although I’ve long since known about trackbacks but just never implemented them.
I found an absolute gem of a WordPress Trackback Tutorial and the author has a real passion for her subject – how refreshing! Well, I read all of the comments on the subject and the minute I opened the comment titled “Random Neurons Firing”, it made perfect sense because I could actually see the relationship between the two sites.
Don’t make the same mistake I made – it’s NOT like Algebra; if your mind says: “It’s GOT to be more difficult than this!”…don’t listen. Just follow the steps. I did…and won!
