Questions
Question:
How many lessons do I need? I’m a good driver.
Answer:
That depends on many things….Are you very anxious on the road? How much driving experience do you have? Have you picked up bad driving habits from someone? What has your driving instruction experience been to date? No matter how we look at it, I’ll have to physically assess your driving before I can answer this question.
Question:
Why do I keep on failing my Driver’s Test? I know what I’m doing by now!
Answer:
It could be small technicalities that your instructor didn’t pick up on and never brought to your attention. Taking a corner too tight loses you 4 marks already…. on EVERY instance. If I have the opportunity to assess your driving I’ll be better equipped to answer.
Question:
Do you only cover the Randburg area?.
Answer:
No, I actually work a very wide area and I’m busy setting up a whole list of areas so you can easily see whether I cover your area. If you don’t see your suburb on the list, feel more than welcome just to ask about lessons in your area.
Question:
Why are you so expensive? I can get another driving instructor for much less.
Answer:
I charge the going rate, which is very little for what I offer.I can’t speak for other instructors, but judging from the number of their clients that I inherit and client comments, I would say that people are mostly disappointed with the quality of a cheaper service.
Ultimately the choice is yours.
Question:
How is it possible that some of my friends got a licence but I can clearly see that they don’t know how to drive?
Answer:
It’s much like spotting for an exam. When you learn just enough to pass the driver’s test it means exactly that – just enough. This doesn’t prepare you for The Real World, and you’ve seen the results for yourself.
The K53 Practical Driving Test is actually not so practical at all – it doesn’t test your ability to park in any way than in reverse, like parallel parking, for instance.
If your friends did a Code10 licence test, I’m not surprised at all that they would have a problem parking, for one.
Question:
Can you do bookings for learner and driver tests?
Answer:
After much consideration and considering the overwhelming demand,Yes.No.Since the Call Centre has crashed you would have to book your own test. Althought there are driving schools that do book tests, I cannot take time out of my day to do that and I simply would run out of energy trying to get run off my feet like other driving schools say the experience turns out to be.
Question:
What is Practical Parking?
Answer:
This is what I teach you to be able to park like a normal person ;o).On Practical Parking lessons you learn judgement to park driving forward, like you would do at a shopping centre, whatever the size of your car – be it a Pajero, BMW X5, or the like.
This type of parking is also invaluable for moms getting a big car as a present from dad – the adjustment in jumping from an Uno to a BMW X5 is just so much easier after one or two of these lessons.
