Your Driving Assessment & Brain Profile
With effect 1 August 2010, all first driving assessments will include a Driver Brain Profile.
Why? What is a Driver Brain Profile? Is it really necessary?…so many questions.
Here’s the low-down…
I get to deal with many, many different people on a daily basis and although they share some common thinking, they are very special creations and absolutely unique as individuals. Their thinking preferences might have them stuck in a rut for years, or they may sometimes even have been wondering about aimlessly through life, for just as many years.
Why is that any concern of mine, you may ask?
It’s really very simple. I’m not the average driving instructor – I’m a driving COACH with a vested interest in your progress, performance, and success.
When I have a good idea of whether you’re a more Left Brain or Right Brain dominant client and how your quadrants figure in your picture, it’s waaaaaaaaaaaaay easier to target my training and custom-fit it to your kind of thinking. That, not only makes it easier for you, but my job is infinitely smoother when your profile shows me where you may get stuck, confused, irritated, impatient and challenged, etc. in your training.
Kinda like having a tailor take measurements and make a You Suit opposed to buying the average suit off the rail at a clothing shop.
Is all of this really necessary, you may ask?
Personally? Yes, I have overwhelming evidence gathered over the past year that influenced my decision to institute doing the Driver Brain Profile as a matter of routine on assessment and driving diagnostic.
I assure you, you get to know yourself much better, learn how to fit into traffic and life with more ease, learn to assess the behaviour of other drivers better, learn to be more accommodating, tolerant, and confident as a driver, even as you go through a steep and constant learning curve for up to 2 years after getting your license. Yip, your learning NEVER stops! Trust me, I’ve been driving for a long time and even I still learn stuff.
Just think about it for a second…your brain doesn’t only do involuntary things for you, like breathing and blink your eyes in the face of danger etc., your thinking precedes every single decision and voluntary action you carry out, specially when doing a complicated task like driving.
How the process practically works:
1. You get a special rate for doing the profile as part of your driving assessment -
R 300 includes lesson, profile and consultation.
2. You book a driving assessment with me, in view of doing a course of driving lessons.
3. When we confirm our appointment I send you Login Details to do your profile.
4. We do our 1-hour assessment driving lesson, during which your thinking is assessed.
5. I hand over your printed profile report and we have a 30-minute discussion to address the profile and/or questions.
Now, short of re-writing lots of info from my Whole Brain Practitioner’s blog – just pop over there and take a good look around for yourself. You’ll see that the simple online test is NOT a personality test and NOT an IQ test at all. The profile merely measures your thinking preference so I’ll better know how you tick.
Make 100% sure to listen to the sound clip at the bottom of the page, OK?
That’s it!
Here’s looking forward to teaching you how your unique “Driving Mind” ticks!
